Banner-making Guidelines

Your team’s banner is just that, and should reflect the personality of your team. These guidelines are simply meant to provide suggestions. The banner will be displayed throughout the season, first at Opening Day, then at each game, and in the team photo. We have included below a few things that you should keep in mind when designing and making the banner:

bulletInclude a means of hanging your banner on the backstop at each game

bulletMake your banner large enough to be visible at games and in team photos

bulletYour banner may include the players' first names

bulletUse material durable enough for your banner to withstand repeated use in a wide range of weather conditions

Banners are a fun way to celebrate your team spirit. To encourage every team to have a banner of their own, the Lassie League awards $25.00 to the banner judged best in each division at Opening Day. In order to be eligible for the award, the banner must:

bullet Include the Team Name

bulletInclude the Sponsor’s Name (if you do not know who your sponsor is please ask your coach or contact Kristin AmBery Ayers at 571-762-8491 or by email at kris.ambery@gmail.com)

While commercially produced banners are welcome, only homemade banners may win an award.

These guidelines can be downloaded in PDF form from our Documents page.
